Jonathan Arreguit

Short Biography

Jonathan received a BSc and MSc in Microengineering (Orientation in Robotics and Autonomous Systems) as well as a Minor in Neuroprosthetics at the Swiss Institute of Technology of Lausanne (EPFL). During his Master’s degree, he completed both a semester project and a Master project at BIOROB related to state estimation and motion planning for humanoid robots.

He since joined BIOROB in 2017 as a PhD student and is involved in a project funded by the Human Frontier Science Program (HFSP) where he mainly studies the combination of central pattern generators with sensory feedback in neuro-mechanical models for amphibian locomotion using physics simulations with complex environments.

His research interests include bio-inspiration, locomotion, connectionism and simulation of neuro-mechanical models.
