Limb designs for salamander and centipede robots

Abstract

Animal locomotion is a topic closely related to robotics. Using robots and
numerical simulation can help study the neural mechanisms that are beneath
movement control in animals. In parallel, we can take inspiration from animals
in order to create robots capable of agile locomotion in complex environments.
